Hey hey hey. Today I had school. Surprising I was more jovial and lively than usual, I think part of it was seeing my friends again after 3 long weeks, but I'm sure my spirited state won't last too long, what with all the assignments and exams coming up, now with the 2nd quarter ending, and hitting me all at once like a never ending freight train.
On a positive note, this was my first outfit back to school. I wanted to sport something a little more boyish, or as my friends would say "hobo", so I whipped out my 90's windbreaker from a vintage store.
Initially I was looking for a windbreaker that was spunkier and more colorful, but the vintage stores I visited were so limited and expensive, especially for 2nd hand clothing! So I settled. But I've developed a great love for this jacket, it's so precious. <3
I thrifted this tourist top that said Bali on it and I cropped it and cut off the sleeves. It was horrendous before, but I knew it had potential. Look at what a babe it is now xx
Outfit Details:
Windbreaker - Vintage store
White hoodie for layering - Lucky Brand USA
Denim high waist short - Vintage Pumas, mom's
Chocolate sheer tights - Random shop
White sneakers - Skono, Michelles
Sally Hansen Microwavable Eyebrow, Face & Lip Wax Kit - $6 USD
The lovely Megan bought me this souvenir that I specifically asked for on her trip to the US. I've been looking for a good facial wax for a while now and Hanoi doesn't seem to stock any, or maybe I haven't been looking hard enough. But anyway, this kit comes with a whole lot of things, the wax itself,a spatula to apply the wax, some tweezers, eyebrow shape tracers, and a soothing gel - which is super handy, because the last time I waxed, I got an allergic reaction, and trust me it did not look good.
I'm so excited to use this, hopefully I won't scream like a bitch. Megan, love you & thank you! :D

DeleteHi Linnie! :)
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your lovely blog through IFB... I'm so glad to meet another teen fashion blogger on here! :) I'm also Vietnamese as well! :D You are so lucky you're able to wear shorts right now... it's quite cold here in LA and I have to layer up with sweaters, scarves and jeans to keep me warm! I love the whole vintage look of your outfit though! :) And I had no idea that you had thrifted that Bali top! :) If you hadn't had said anything, I would have probably assumed it you bought it from an actual boutique; it looks super-cute, you did a fantastic job DIY-ing it! :) And yummy! <3 That dim sum looks so delicious! I love the taro cakes (not sure what to call them haha) there! :)
I'm your newest follower! :) Looking forward to reading your upcoming posts! =D
